With years of luxury hospitality behind her and a deep appreciation for helping others, Aurélie brings empathy, precision, and professionalism to her role at Provence Holidays.

Whether supporting the reservations team or resolving guest concerns, her focus is always on making each stay feel smooth and memorable. Drawing on more than 15 years of experience at the front desk of prestigious hotels, she understands the importance of clear communication, quick problem-solving, and personal attention. Her transition to villa rentals has allowed her to continue caring for guests—this time behind the scenes - helping to ensure every Provence Holidays experience is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

From Paris to Provence - a hospitality journey

Aurélie joined Provence Holidays in March, making her one of the newest members of the team. Her role spans reservations, administration, and most recently, guest relations - particularly complaints management, where her calm, solutions-focused approach has already made a difference.

Her passion for hospitality began with a degree in tourism, followed by 15 years at the front desk of luxury hotels. After more than a decade of late check-ins, early departures, and endless guest interactions, she felt ready to try something different, without losing that essential human connection. At Provence Holidays, she found a new way to support guests: from behind the scenes, helping them turn tricky situations into positive memories.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Paris, Aurélie eventually swapped city life for the sunshine and landscape of the South. After some time living in the southern Alps, she moved to Provence for the climate, the rhythm of life, and the access to nature. Travel remains an important part of her life. “At least one trip a year - it is my rule,” she says. One of her most inspiring? Egypt, where she spent time two years ago exploring ancient sites and sailing the Nile. Fluent in French and English, and with a good understanding of Spanish, Aurélie connects with guests from all over the world. Her local tip? “Don’t miss the Provençal markets. They say so much about the people, the culture, and the food of the South.”

Aurélie's favourite village | Cadenet and neighbouring Lourmarin

Aurélie lives in Cadenet, a lesser-known village that sits just above the Durance River with stunning views of The Luberon valley. Though often overlooked in favour of neighbouring Lourmarin, she believes Cadenet is well worth a visit. “Walk up to the château cave and take in the panoramic view - it is one of the best in the area,” she says. From there, you can explore narrow streets, artisan shops, and quiet squares that reflect the gentle pace of daily life in Provence.

Just next door is Lourmarin, one of the region’s most beloved villages, known for its vibrant market, Renaissance château, and cafés tucked along cobbled lanes. The two villages pair beautifully for a morning outing - start in Cadenet for quiet charm, then head to Lourmarin for lunch and a browse through boutiques.

Recommended family experience | Tree climbing at Colorado Aventures

“It is such a fun activity,” she says. “Parents and children can all do it together, and there are levels for every age. Plus, the location itself is absolutely beautiful.”

As a mother to an 11-year-old daughter, Aurélie knows what makes a great family day out. Her recommendation? Tree climbing at Colorado Aventures, set within the striking ochre landscapes of the Colorado Provençal. After an active morning climbing and ziplining, families can take a walk through the ochre trails - one of the most visually spectacular landscapes in Provence. It is the kind of outing that combines adventure with nature, perfect for families looking to create shared memories in a unique setting.

“For me, Provence is best experienced in the small, everyday moments - picking up fresh produce at the market, enjoying the view from the château ruins in Cadenet, or strolling through Lourmarin on a summer morning. It is a region that invites you to slow down and appreciate the simple things.” - Aurélie
