Amandine joined Provence Holidays in early 2025 as our HR consultant.

Based in the south of France where she was born and raised, she supports the team on all day-to-day HR matters, helping ensure the people behind our properties feel supported, valued, and connected. What she enjoys most is the human side of the role - listening, understanding, and building relationships across the team. For Amandine, it is about more than just processes and paperwork; it is about people and the stories they bring.

Originally from Tarascon in the Camargue, Amandine feels strongly connected to the region and is proud to contribute to a company rooted in the South. When travelling, she finds herself drawn to places with deep heritage and warm hospitality - Sicily remains a favourite, for its dramatic landscapes, rich culture, and unforgettable food.

Amandine's ecommended experience | Carrières de Lumières, Les Baux-de-Provence

Amandine recommends the Carrières de Lumières as one of the most memorable cultural experiences in Provence. Set within a vast, former limestone quarry just below the medieval village of Les Baux-de-Provence, this immersive art show transforms the cavernous space into a world of light, sound, and movement.

Each year, the exhibition changes – featuring large-scale digital projections of iconic works by artists such as Van Gogh, Chagall, or Dalí, accompanied by carefully curated music. “It is something everyone enjoys, no matter their age,” Amandine explains. “You do not need to be an art expert - you just walk in and feel it. The setting is so impressive, and the projections stay with you long after the visit.”

Cool in summer and atmospheric year-round, the Carrières offers a unique way to experience art and history at once. For guests travelling with children, older relatives, or simply looking for something different, Amandine describes it as “a must-see in The Alpilles.”

Amandine's favourite village is Roussillon

“You are surrounded by colour and nature, but also by a strong sense of place. It feels rooted.”

Amandine’s favourite village is Roussillon, perched on the edge of The Luberon and instantly recognisable for its rich red and orange tones. Unlike the limestone and pale stone found in much of Provence, Roussillon’s colour palette comes from the surrounding ochre cliffs - a natural pigment that has shaped both the landscape and the village’s history.

In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Roussillon was at the centre of a thriving ochre industry. The pigment was mined from the cliffs and exported around the world for use in paints, plaster, and dyes. Today, the old quarries form the backdrop for one of the region’s most unusual walks – the Sentier des Ocres, or Ochre Trail. “It offers a completely different feel to the rest of Provence,” Amandine says. “It is like being in another world, but still right here.” Beyond the cliffs, the village itself is a joy to explore – with narrow lanes, colourful facades, and views stretching across The Luberon. For Amandine, it is the contrast that makes Roussillon so special.

"For me, the most important thing is living somewhere that feels grounded - close to nature, close to culture, and surrounded by people who value both." - Amandine

Amandine's favourite property | Mas Coquelicot

This elegant farmhouse sits deep in the Camargue, where nature takes centre stage. Surrounded by open marshland, reed-lined waterways, and big skies, Mas Casalino offers a true sense of peace and space. The interiors are bright and understated, with carefully chosen furnishings that reflect the calm of the landscape outside.

Amandine was instantly drawn to the view - a sweeping outlook across the marshes that shifts with the light and seasons. “There is a peaceful atmosphere that stays with you,” she says. Whether you are watching the flamingos at dawn or enjoying an evening apéritif under the shade of the trees, this is a place to slow down. It is the ideal home for guests looking to reconnect with nature, yet it remains within easy reach of Arles - offering the best of both worlds: seclusion and culture.
