This year marks a quietly significant moment for Provence Holidays. As we celebrate a decade in business, we are honoured to share that we have been nominated, for the second year running, in the Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards 2026 - in the Homestays & Villa Rentals category.
The Readers' Choice Awards are widely regarded as one of the most respected accolades in global travel. They are not chosen by a panel or an industry committee; they are voted on directly by the readers of Condé Nast Traveller - discerning travellers whose endorsements carry the weight of lived experience. Last year, our guests, owners and friends placed us in the top 20. This year, we are aiming for the top 10.
A decade of Provence Holidays
Ten years ago, we opened our first agency with a single idea: that a stay in Provence should feel like staying somewhere genuinely loved, not somewhere rented. That conviction shaped how we curated our portfolio, how we worked with owners, and how we welcomed every guest who arrived. What began as a single office has grown, slowly and deliberately, into five agencies across mainland Provence and the French Riviera. We chose growth that respected the region - opening offices only where we could offer the same standard of personal, attentive service that defined the early years. Each location has its own character, its own knowledge of local owners and villages, and its own team rooted in the communities they serve.

The Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards have run for over three decades, and they remain one of the most influential markers of quality in the travel industry. For a homestay and villa rental brand, recognition in this category is meaningful precisely because the readers who vote are the ones who have actually stayed somewhere - slept in the beds, swum in the pools, woken up to the light through unfamiliar shutters, and decided whether the place left a mark. Last year's top 20 finish was, to us, an extraordinary moment.
