What we like
Location: in Luberon countryside, 2 miles from the great village of Menerbes, and close to all the other perched and perfect villages of the area.
Heated Pool: the heated pool extends the swimming season either side of summer.
New and Old: the house combines the charm of the old with the comfort of the new, making it ideal for a trip to Provence.
Things to note
Young Children: young children need to be monitored since the garden is not fenced off from the nearest country road. The pool has an infra-red alarm system but children still need supervision.
Exterior
The house is set on 1 acre of lawn and grassland and faces south to the sun. The garden is not enclosed so young children need to be monitored. To the front of the house is terrace running around two sides, with choice of dining tables – by the barbecue, or under the pergola by the kitchen. The house has a gated entrance and secure parking for several cars.
Pool
This heated 10m x 4m swimming pool is secured by an infra-red alarm system. There are parasols and 8 comfortable sunloungers at poolside.
Interior
The Maison de Menerbes is a refurbished Provence farmhouse with heated pool in the Luberon park near Menerbes. It combines old and new with exposed beams and modern kitchen and bathrooms. The living room and kitchen/dining are in one space and open out to the south-facing terrace through large sliding patio doors.
Living Room: the living room has sofas and armchair round a wall-mounted fireplace, and TV/DVD with French TNT channels. The house has WiFi internet throughout.
Kitchen: the kitchen is dual aspect and has big openings to the outside dining and garden, giving a summery feel to the heart of the home. The kitchen is equipped with oven, 4-ring cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and filter-coffee machine, as well as dining table.
Laundry: with washing machine, dryer and guest WC.
Bedrooms
The house sleeps 8 people with three double bedrooms and one twin room for children. One of the double bedrooms is downstairs and there are 3 bathrooms.
On the ground floor:
Bedroom 1: with queen-sized double bed, exposed ceiling beams and ensuite bathroom with shower, double basin and WC.
On the first floor:
Bedroom 2: with queen-sized double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, double basin and WC.
Bedroom 3: with queen-sized double bed.
Bedroom 4: with 2 single beds.
There is an independent bathroom with shower, basin and WC available on this floor for bedrooms 3 and 4.

Un séjour en famille réussi dans le Lubéron, une propriété magnifique et tout confort
Magnifique propriété tout confort avec belle piscine et grand terrain, située dans une magnifique région. Organisation et accueil au top. Nous avons passé un formidable séjour en famille, avec des enfants de 5 à 17 ans. Beaucoup de choses à faire: piscine, barbecues, jolis villages, marchés, vignobles, randos, ... Avignon, Aix et Marseille à max 1h de route. Encore merci aux propriétaires pour cette superbe location.
Vacances à Ménerbes
La résidence est tout simplement exceptionnelle! nous sommes restés en famille et nous avons passé un excellent moment. La villa est au calme tout en étant proche des commodités. Elle est excessivement bien entretenue (il n'y a aucun défaut), il y a énormément d'accessoires (notamment dans la cuisine) qui rendent le séjour "facile". La maison, la piscine, le jardin étaient propres et trés bien entretenus. Le service de gestion de la maison (syndic) est à disposition pour rendre le sejour agréable, ils ont été trés gentils et trés agréable. Aucun problème avec le WiFi. Cette résidence est trés bien gérée et on sent que le propriétaire veille à la qualité et à l'entretien de sa résidence. Je recommande la location (mais pas trop car je souhaite pouvoir y revenir! :))
A Lovely Spot
We arrived in the rain and even then the house looked wonderful.It is well equipped and well laid out with some nice touches in the bedrooms, three of which have ensuite bathrooms. In fact the photos do not do it justice and the garden is also lovely and very spacious. It is 3 km to Menerbes and manageable by bike, in fact a perfect area for cycling as well as walking. The Maison de menerbes is only a ten minute drive away with its shops, supermarket etc and great Sunday market. The owners could not have been more helful and left us three lovely bottles of local wine. We will most certainly go back!
