This fully air-conditioned holiday home, restored in 2021, is built against the rock that is visible in the kitchen and outside. It is located at the top of the village, in a quiet street, and can accommodate up to six people in three comfortable bedrooms all complete with ensuite bathrooms.

What we like
Location: La Maison Ocre is located in the upper part of the village, in a peaceful street, and you are five minutes from shops and restaurants.
Style: the whole house was tastefully renovated in 2021: the interior is very well decorated and the Master bedroom is spacious and independent.
Garden: the outdoor area has several spaces which are perfect for any time of the day.
Exterior
From the dining room, you access the beautiful shaded terrace with large table where you can enjoy an aperitif whilst admiring the Luberon, the rock wall on one side or the plunge pool and the garden. Spread over several levels, you descend to the deckchair area near the pool. At the top of a staircase, the shaded summer lounge under a pergola lets you admire the landscape and the Luberon from a height.
Pool
With one transparent side, this 2.5m x 3m plunge pool allows you to refresh and relax whilst it illuminates the garden with topaz blue. Surrounded by four sun loungers, you can relax and enjoy a lush green garden below a beautiful rock wall.
Interior
Fully air-conditioned, La Maison Ocre has just been tastefully restored with designer and high-quality furniture. On the ground floor are the TV lounge (with access to a bathroom), the well-equipped kitchen and the dining room with a magnificent table, beautiful fireplace and French doors leading to the outside terrace.
On the first floor, you will find two double bedrooms with views over the Luberon and private bathrooms, one of which has a bath tub. The Master bedroom is accessible from the garden, at the top of the stairs, near the summer lounge. This spacious bedroom is very bright and airy with its super king-sized double bed, sofa, TV, fireplace, armchairs, dressing room and ensuite bathroom with glass Italian shower. Its contemporary decoration highlights the old aspect of the stones and windows, and its small private terrace allows you to admire the garden and the atmosphere of the village.

Quaint, small town in the Luberon. Unique house!
There were 3 of us (women in our 50s) who stayed in this very unique home in the side of a mountain. The plunge pool was a saving grace because it was SO HOT when we were there. Rooms had A/C units (but one didn't work so well) but the little Plunge Pool was amazing and gave us some relief. The road to the house is literally through the little town and is VERY narrow. There is free parking (for people who are renting) in the village which we did not know about until a few days into our trip. There is a parking lot outside the house but no assigned parking for the house. I'm not sure I would recommend this house for families with small kids as the road literally outside the house's main door is DIRECTLY on a road (and the cars go really fast past the house). So be very careful when opening your door and stepping outside. The little village of Menerbes was certainly charming and not filled with tourists. It was a good place to stay while day-tripping to La Coste, Bonnieux, Apt, Lourmarin, Gordes. The sunflower fields surrounding Menerbes were beautiful. The Master bedroom of the house is to die for. It is super huge (toilet and sink are up a little staircase) and the shower is in the bedroom. So it's definitely unique but so cool. The upstairs outside patio was one of our favorite places to sit at night. I would say that the kitchen amenities are not quite up to par (we ate out most times so it wasn't a huge deal), but there aren't many regular-sized spoons - like there are huge serving spoons and a small sugar spoon - but not regular spoons. This is just one example. There were ants in the kitchen (so make sure you put all food in the small fridge). It would have been difficult to make a large meal, in our opinion, with the currently provided kitchen items. But if you're eating out at the lovely restaurants nearby, then it's likely not to be a huge issue. The wifi was good if you were in the dining room or TV room on the main level. But there was limited signals in the Master Bedroom. Those would be the only things I would like to mention as part of my review.
Séjour parfait
Très belle villa bien située. Juste un petit défaut, faire un classeur avec un repérage du tableau électrique. Les plombs du chauffe-eau avaient disjonctés, pas d'eau chaude le samedi. Un classeur simple avec "Que faire si" aurait suffit. Simple et peu onéreux Pour le reste c'est parfait
