What we like

Style: a perfect marriage between traditional Provençal property and 20th century design.
Garden: the exterior is as striking as the interior, with heated pool, private terraces or balconies for every room.
Lavender: no need to leave the comfort of your sunlounger to enjoy the sight and scent of your own field of lavender. They have their own lavender field. The flowering and harvesting of lavender can vary.

Things to note

Pool: the pool has a sliding cover for security but extra care should be taken with young children.
Caretakers: the house manager lives in their own cottage on the grounds, and you can either get their help with everything from breakfast to local recommendations, or not see them at all, as you choose.
Electric car charging point: an electric car charging point is available at the property, with a fee of 20 euros to be paid on site for overnight charging.


The property has 2.8 ha (7 acres) of land, including a 5-acre lavender field. Along the front of the house runs the terrace with outdoor dining, and then it is the pool with lawn to the side, and the lavender field beyond that. There is a great view of the perched, hill-top villages of Bonnieux and Lacoste.

To the side of the house is a walled garden with a hammock on the lawn and another shaded outside table. At the back is a boules/petanque playing area.


The pool measures 13m x 7m and is heated in the shoulder months to extend the swimming season. The pool has an electronic sliding cover for security. The poolhouse offers a shaded lounging area.


The house is formerly an old stone Provence farmhouse close to Bonnieux. The bedrooms are spacious and all en suite. This is a luxury Holiday Rental Home for 10 people. The layout of the rooms makes it ideal for groups or families wanting their own independence but the ability to enjoy a holiday together. Two of the bedrooms include their own living room and kitchen.

Living Room: a bright room with sofas and fireplace at one end and sleek designer kitchen at the other, opening to the terrace and pool through big french doors, and on the other side to the dining room. There is TV/DVD and WiFi internet throughout.

Kitchen: in the main living room and designed to be unobtrusive, with white goods concealed and a long white work-top to blend into the room. The kitchen has induction stove, oven, dishwasher, and double fridge under the worktop.

Dining Room: adjoining the kitchen in a conservatory-style extension, providing a shaded place for meals, as an alternative to the main terrace facing south.

Laundry Room: with washing machine, dryer, a larger fridge and freezer.

Guest WC: on the ground floor, next to the dining room.


The house sleeps up to 10 people, with 5 large double bedrooms, all complete with air-conditioning and en suite bathrooms. There are no doors between a bedroom and its bathrooms/WC, everything is in one large space. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor. There is a twin bed in one of the bedrooms, all others are double beds.

Bedroom 1: with a double bed and an ensuite boasting his and hers showers and basins, as well as a pedestal bath. This bedroom spans two floors with a living room downstairs, that houses a sofa bed, kitchen and Apple TV. There is also a private balcony with deckchairs looking out over the pool and lavender field.
Bedroom 2: with a double bed and an ensuite with a walk-in-shower, a pedestal bath and double basins. This bedroom benefits from fantastic views out to three sides of the property and also has its own living room and kitchen.
Bedroom 3: with a double bed and an ensuite  with a walk-in-shower, pedestal bath and double basins.There is a seperate seating area that has a sofa bed and french doors that open up onto the courtyard.
Bedroom 4: with a double bed with a pedestal bath in the bedroom on top of the walk-in-shower in the ensuite. French doors open to its terrace with sunset view to the west.
Bedroom 5: with a double bed and an ensuite with a pedestal bath, walk-in-shower and double basins. This bedroom also boasts a balcony looking over the pool and lavendar field.

Rental period: the rental week runs from Saturday 5pm to the following Saturday 10am in peak season. Arrival and departure are flexible the rest of the year.

Très bel endroit, paisible, magnifique piscine et beau jardin, grand domaine bien arborisé avec champs de lavande. Très bon accueil par le couple d'intendants, merci à eux. Magical! Magical!

This is a truly magical place, great central location to all the hotspots in the Luberon and beyond. We enjoyed the stay especially the view of the lavender field, and the pool right in front of us. The only negative - one week is not enough.

Magnificent maison

We usually avoid guest reviews; however, this wonderful place deserves any recommendation it gets. Our week was most pleasant and relaxing, we liked the well-designed rooms as well as the looked after fabulous white roses all over the place. Thanks to the sunny weather we took advantage of the many places around, and the pool for relaxing. We had a heart-warming welcome and support from our hosts whenever needed. Leaving this magnificent house leaves everybody with regrets at not having another week, the holiday was the closest we ever experienced to being perfect. In deepest desire to return sometime.




The old fortified village of Bonnieux is located at the top of the valley of Lourmarin and dominated by an old church. This perched Provençal village is the ideal place to discover the region by bike or on foot and benefits from an exceptional panorama which extends from the Petit Luberon to the Monts du Vaucluse and as far as Mont Ventoux.
