Description

Villa for rent Provence for 20 people

What we like

Space: this is the house where we would want to celebrate a special birthday with friends and family, up to 20 people can live in great comfort.
Outdoors: with the grill and Weber barbecue, you will not be able to resist cooking and dining outdoors.
Views: the elevation of the house gives beautiful views of countryside and perched villages.
Layout: with two wings and an annex, the layout of this property allows indepedence when needed as well as the space for everyone to get together.
Lavender: it’s rare to have your own lavender field, and this one frames the perfect view of Gordes.

Things to note

Pool Security: the pool area is gated but care and supervision are still needed for children.
Toddlers: the property is generally less suitable for toddlers since there is a small stream that runs just beyond the garden.
Caretaker: an English-speaking caretaker is on hand to quickly deal with any problems that may arise during your stay.

Exterior

This huge 10-acre estate boasts a pool, artificial grass tennis court, lavender field and even a small vineyard. The views are over vineyards and fields, taking in the perched villages of Gordes, Joucas and Roussillon. At the front of the house is the pool area with sunloungers, two dining tables in the shade, and an outdoor grill as well as a Weber barbecue.
Off the dining room at the upper level of the house is another terrace, which is a great spot for an evening aperitif.
The annex house also has its own terrace by the lavender field, so there are many different spots to make one’s own.
Out of sight of the house is the tennis court, which has an artificial grass surface that is perfect for those with knee and joint issues.
Access is through a gated entrance, up a tree-lined avenue, and there is plenty of secure parking.

Interior

The living room is ideal for gatherings, boasting sofas, armchairs and a large TV. Equally as spacious, the dining room features a stone fireplace and is next to the beautiful Provençal kitchen with loggia terrace and amazing views. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook for many people, or bring in a chef: double oven and grange cooker with 6 gas burners, American fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee machines. Outside the kitchen you can sit on the loggia for a drink with views over the countryside to Roussillon, Joucas and the Luberon mountain. This property also boasts a children's play room and a lovely cottage (known as La Bergerie) just 30m from the main house. The annex sleeps 6 and is perfect for groups who want the option of extra independence.

Bedrooms

The house has 10 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, with a total occupancy of 20 people. Two bedrooms can also offer an extra child’s bed.

On the ground floor:
Bedroom 1/Master: with king-sized double bed and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, basin and separate toilet. The bedroom opens onto a sunny terrace with garden furniture and view.

Beautiful heritage property with all the comforts.
score

Our group of six couples enjoyed a wonderful week at this property. We were delighted with the selection of well furnished rooms and amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed preparing meals together in the well equipped kitchen; gathering on the several patios; dining in the spacious dining room; lounging in the comfortable sitting rooms throughout the house; as well as exploring the beautiful countryside, Gordes and surrounding areas.

Our 50th Anniversary was an amazing Dream come True
score

There were 16 of us all ages arriving from Swansea... None of us knew what to expect only hoped that our stay could be half as good as other reviews! We played tennis--even at night, rode bikes through the country side of lavender, poppies and rolled bales of hay. Ate on patios, cooked fabulous meals, went to markets, sang, laughed, enjoyed all kinds of beverages, and played Marco Polo in the refreshing pool. Our welcome by Herve was delightful and he was always available to assist in some minor problems. It was perfect!!!! Thank you

Phenomenal
score

The Villa is a stones throw from Gordes and set in stunning surroundings in the Luberon valley with fantastic views in a number of directions. The house itself is an absolute gem with the photos not nearly doing it the justice it deserves. In short, if you are thinking about it...do it!
