The pool has a security system, but is not fenced. We therefore recommend close supervision of young children.

Exterior

This recently restored 19th century mas is located just under 2kms from the charming village of le Paradou. The pretty garden, over a hectare in size, features a profusion of lavender and olive trees and boasts views of the hilly Provencal countryside for which the les Alpilles region is justly renowned.
For those who seek the beauty and peace of the area yet want to be within easy reach of local shops and the vibrant town of St Rémy-de-Provence, this 1820 farmhouse is the perfect retreat. Once visited, it will be love at first sight.
Outside the kitchen there is a shaded terrace for outdoor dining, whilst to the front of the mas there is another large terrace. With table tennis and boules available, there is plenty for all to do at Maison Paradou.

Pool

The 15 x 6 m heated swimming pool is surrounded by a terrace and a superb pool house with shower, washbasin, WC and barbecue. The pool has a depth of 1.2 m to 2 m and is secured by an alarm. It is treated with magnesium, an environmentally-friendly process renowned for making the water softer and less irritating to skin and eyes.

Interior

The interior of the gorgeous 19^th century farmhouse has been decorated and furnished with charm and elegant style. Bare muted coloured walls, wooden beams and wonderful stone floors are mixed with eye catching splashes of colour and furnishings of the highest quality.

Bedrooms

This authentic farmhouse can accommodate up to 10 people in 5 air-conditioned bedrooms.

There are 2 walk in shower rooms on the ground floor and 3 bathrooms with baths and hand held showers - 2 on the first floor and one on the ground floor. Every bedroom has a bathroom.

First floor:
Bedroom 1: double bed (220 x 220 cm), convertible into 2 single beds on request, and private bathroom with walk-in shower, washbasin and WC.
Bedroom 2: double bed (220 x 220 cm), convertible into 2 single beds on request, and private bathroom with bath, double washbasin and WC.

Dream Holiday house

Really lived up to expectations. Very helpful meet and greet person who quickly responded to some minor queries. Amazingly large pool which all 9 of us enjoyed. House very spacious and beautiful decor. It was extremely hot during our visit so the air con was very welcome.

Beautiful house

We stayed at Maison Paradou for a week in August. It's a very beautiful house set in a lovely garden and is a fabulous place for a large family to stay in Provence. All the bedrooms are really nice and there's a big lounge. The pool is right by the house and there's a large outdoor dining area under a veranda by the pool/house. The area is great. Paradou has two nice restaurants plus a mini-market, butcher and bread shop. Mausanne is very close by - almost joined on to Paradou and there are a lot of restaurants there. Les Baux is a couple of kms away. We've stayed in quite a few houses in Provence over the years and this is one of the nicest.
