A historic golf course on the French Riviera
Among the oldest golf courses in France, this site was established in eighteen ninety-one and designed by Harry Shapland Colt. Located close to the Mediterranean, it extends across seventy-four hectares within a pine forest of around four thousand umbrella pines.
Originally, the course featured nine holes and was known as “Grand Duc”, in reference to Grand Duke Michael of Russia, who lived on the Riviera and had a strong interest in golf.
Today, the club offers a broader golf experience with two courses and a performance centre, combining its historical roots with modern facilities.
THE OLD COURSE – EIGHTEEN HOLES
The main eighteen-hole course offers a flat yet demanding layout, lined with mature pine trees. One of its distinctive features is the crossing of the coastal river La Siagne by ferry between holes three and thirteen, an uncommon element within a round.
The proximity to the sea brings a regular breeze, while Mediterranean vegetation such as pine, mimosa and eucalyptus shapes the environment throughout the course.
Access is reserved for players with a handicap index below thirty-four and a valid licence.
THE GRAND DUC – NINE HOLES
The Grand Duc is the club’s historic course. Its layout is varied and accessible, allowing players of different levels to practise, develop their game or enjoy a shorter round in a quieter setting.
A valid licence and a green card are required. No reservation is needed.
THE NEW COURSE
The New Course combines a nine-hole Pitch and Putt with a separate nine-hole layout. It offers a more accessible and flexible format, suited to practice and progression.
Set within a natural environment, the course provides a straightforward way to play and train. A valid licence and green card are required.
