Villa Datris Foundation
Luberon > L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
The Villa Datris Foundation's vocation is to promote contemporary sculpture through a yearly thematic exhibition, from May to November, displaying international and emerging artists.
What we like
- 500 m2 of exhibition in a 19th century villa
- A provencal and mediterranean garden, displaying more than 20 artworks
- 85 contemporary artists with international fame as well as emerging talents.
- A free and varied cultural programme, open to everyone : guided tours, conferences, workshops for kids or family, participative workshops...
This year, the Villa Datris Foundation questions the relationship between humans and animals, through 85 contemporary artists.
Confirmed artists or emerging talents express their attachment and concern for all these forms of life, celebrating animal beauty, their natural elegance, the fluidity of their bodies. Between insouciance and gravity, this fascination for animals leads the artists to innovating leads, inviting to reflection, indignation and wonder.
More than ever, artists are eager to celebrate the extraordinary richness of the animal world, whimsical, endearing and unexpected.
From May 31st to November 3rd 2019
