Idyllic!

We spent two weeks here and cannot imagine a more wonderful holiday! The house is amazing: charming, comfortable, beautiful and spotlessly clean... an astonishing combination of attributes that we've never before found in a rental house in Provence or elsewhere, nice as many have been over the years. The courtyard has an enormous table under a tree, just outside of the kitchen and every morning and evening our family and friends would gather for croissant, salads, endless rose and white wines, home made meals and delicious moussaka from the local butcher + deli. The patio is next to the lawn which stretches to a lovely cool swimming pool. The younger generation could leave the table, swim, read, play, and then come back to where the elders were still discussing art, food, and the views of the luberon and then go again. It was heaven. Nearby kayaking down the Sorgue river, ropes courses, beautiful villages, ruins, and farmers markets were how we spent our days. There are other things: hiking, biking, cooking courses, etc for the more energetic, but we've left those for another trip. The village of Cabriere d'Avignon is ideally situated to see all of the best of Provence with just what one needs: bakery, restaurant, butcher, and epicerie all within walking distance... and nothing else. No attractions to draw an endless stream of tourists or busses. It feels, it is, a village with real people, real families, and all the calm and wonder that brings. We cannot, any of us, imagine a more perfect holiday, and it was perfect entirely because of the house. We have already planned our return next year.

I have only one complaint at the end of our 10 day stay at Villa Rousillon - how can one return to everyday life after living in a tease from heaven ? Each morning has brought a unique sunrise penetrating through the surrounding terrain (this morning the valleys were filled with mist as we sat like Zeus above with the sun !) After days of marvelling over the ancient villages, each with their own delicious charm, it felt like we were coming home and couldn't wait for a glass of wine to accompany another sunset of unfailing beauty. The views are insurpassable - but even on a day filled with rain and wind, we could enjoy our holiday in the cosy interior with its warm and spacious atmosphere. My children (5 and 6 yrs old) have spent their days happily making fairy houses in the forest and swimming enjoying all the delphins, noodles, balls available at the pool. Merci beaucoup very special owners avec impeccable taste !

Gorgeous Spot!

This villa is located at the highest point in the village of Menerbes. This property is all about the views which were fabulous from every window. The terrace with its breathtaking view was the highlight. This past September (we were here Sept. 21-28) the weather was perfect so we were able to dine al fresco for both breakfast & dinner. After touring during the day, how wonderful it was to come back to this villa, enjoy h'or durves, some local wine, and a savory meal outside and then watch the moon come up. One night we actually witnessed a halo around the moon, something we'd never actually seen before. The large house was superb with high-end finishes, comfortable beds, great showers, several relaxing sitting areas, two well-equipped kitchens, and laundry facilities. Menerbes itself is charming. It's in a good location for touring the other medieval towns of the Luberon Valley or visiting some wineries. Nothing was of a great distance. Menerbes offered good restaurants, some grocery shopping, and a wonderful bakery where we picked up fresh croissants and baguettes every morning. A large grocery store & gas station was about a 15 minute drive away. If you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing place to enjoy a holiday then this villa is for you! Love this house...

A superb old farmhouse, extremely well decorated to the highest standards, managing to combine a chic look with outstanding comfort and convenience. The location is both rural but allows easy access to local amenities. The Luberon is a delightful and interesting area of southern France.

A stunning villa with stunning views.

Simply incredible! The views from the villa are mind blowing. I found myself getting up early every morning to sit and watch the amazing sun rises over the mountains. The villa is stunning! Everything you need to make your stay magical is already there. You really do have to experience it for yourself to appreciate its charm mixed with every mod com going. We only touched the surface of exploring the local area but this was only because we found it hard to get the kids out of the swimming pool! Anna and your team we can’t thank you enough for making are family holiday magical and we can’t wait to return next year! X

The most beautiful villa hidden in rural France. Wonderful pool, excellent air con(needed when so hot)very good quality equipment including essential BBQ, comfortable beds, plenty of crockery & glasses etc. It was truly lovely. There were a couple of issues with instructions of how to get there, & when it was cleaned & towels for showers, & how to operate the gas hobs, but we know we were lucky to have found such a gem of a villa. Thank you to the owners!

Η πιο όμορφη βίλα κρυμμένη στην αγροτική Γαλλία. Υπέροχη πισίνα, εξαιρετικός κλιματισμός (που χρειαζόταν όταν έκανε τόση ζέστη), πολύ καλής ποιότητας εξοπλισμός, συμπεριλαμβανομένου του απαραίτητου μπάρμπεκιου, άνετα κρεβάτια, πολλά πιατικά και ποτήρια κλπ. Ήταν πραγματικά υπέροχα. Υπήρχαν μερικά θέματα με τις οδηγίες για το πώς να φτάσετε εκεί, & πότε καθαριζόταν & πετσέτες για τα ντους, & πώς να λειτουργήσουν οι εστίες αερίου, αλλά ξέρουμε ότι ήμασταν τυχεροί που βρήκαμε ένα τέτοιο στολίδι μιας βίλας. Ευχαριστούμε τους ιδιοκτήτες!

Havre de paix avec un max de facilités et de confort Ένα καταφύγιο ηρεμίας με μέγιστες εγκαταστάσεις και άνεση

Splendide propriété provençale au calme.... hormis les cigales ????. À 15 min de tout. La clim dans les chambres serait, est nécessaire par ces périodes de forte canicule. Très agréable séjour ! Un grand merci à Mr Simon R. pour sa sympathie, sa disponibilité et ses conseils.

Υπέροχο ακίνητο της Προβηγκίας σε ένα ήσυχο περιβάλλον.... εκτός από τα τζιτζίκια ????. 15 λεπτά από τα πάντα. Ο κλιματισμός στα υπνοδωμάτια θα ήταν, είναι απαραίτητο από αυτές τις περιόδους του ισχυρού καύσωνα. Πολύ ευχάριστη διαμονή! Πολλές ευχαριστίες στον κ. Simon R. για τη φιλικότητα, τη διαθεσιμότητα και τις συμβουλές του.

La villa est bien conçue car on a vraiment 5 habitations séparées avec douche et toilette individuelles. Très beau jardin avec petite piscine sympa. La villa se trouve un peu a l extérieur de fontvieille. Il y a deux grands et un petit vélo a disposition pour se déplacer. La villa est bien équipée et en gros, les photos du site ne mentent pas. Tout est comme décrit. Pas de déception.

Η βίλα είναι καλά σχεδιασμένη, με 5 ξεχωριστούς χώρους διαβίωσης με ατομικά ντους και τουαλέτες. Πολύ ωραίος κήπος με μικρή πισίνα. Η βίλα βρίσκεται λίγο έξω από τη Fontvieille. Υπάρχουν δύο μεγάλα ποδήλατα και ένα μικρό ποδήλατο για να μετακινηθείτε. Η βίλα είναι καλά εξοπλισμένη και βασικά, οι φωτογραφίες στην ιστοσελίδα δεν ψεύδονται. Όλα είναι όπως περιγράφονται. Δεν υπάρχουν απογοητεύσεις.

The Villa is a stones throw from Gordes and set in stunning surroundings in the Luberon valley with fantastic views in a number of directions. The house itself is an absolute gem with the photos not nearly doing it the justice it deserves. In short, if you are thinking about it...do it!

An Artists Paradise

A lovely peaceful charmingly shabby chic old Mas. The house is full of beautiful traditional antique furnituture, giving this beautiful home a wonderful atmosphere. We were two artists plus our husbands, and for an artist it was pure heaven, glorious garden, full of light and shade,, wonderful terraces and spots to sit outside and enjoy the feeling of peace and quiet. The lovely people helping in the house and garden could not have been more helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who appreciates traditional old French style, tucked away far from the busy world, in a peaceful garden.

A Lovely Spot

We arrived in the rain and even then the house looked wonderful.It is well equipped and well laid out with some nice touches in the bedrooms, three of which have ensuite bathrooms. In fact the photos do not do it justice and the garden is also lovely and very spacious. It is 3 km to Menerbes and manageable by bike, in fact a perfect area for cycling as well as walking. The Maison de menerbes is only a ten minute drive away with its shops, supermarket etc and great Sunday market. The owners could not have been more helful and left us three lovely bottles of local wine. We will most certainly go back!
