Château de la Gardine - 1

Weinverkostung im Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Haut Vaucluse > Châteauneuf-du-Pape

From the castle’s terrace there is a stupendous view over the Luberon, the Alpilles de Provence mounts and Avignon. Wine-tastings are available

An old proverb says that to make the best Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the grape vines must be firmly anchored in the soil, covered with pebbles, and facing the river… There is one certainty here at Château de la Gardine: on its stone and pebble plateau, 500 meters west of the village, it is definitely facing the majestic Rhône. These vineyards are the fruit of an encounter between a man, Gaston Brunel, and a terroir, Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The Brunel family has continued age-old traditions from generation to generation.

Appellations represented here: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, Côtes du Rhône, Rasteau, Cairanne, Vacqueyras, Gigondas, Crozes Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage.
