I love your home in Provence

This is the last day of our stay at Clos Paradou and we are very sad. The week here was magnificent - the rooms are extremely comfortable, the kitchen was equipped with everything we need, and the pool was perfect. Thank you for the delicious treats you left us. The two ladies who did the daily housekeeping were charming and pleasant.

We have found no other place in France as beautiful and welcoming as Eygalières. 12 years ago we brought our family here on a 'once in a lifetime' visit, and we have been coming back ever since. We were thrilled to bring our friends to this lovely house and beautiful town so that they could learn what we love about Provence. We had beautiful days swimming in the pool, market days, a tour of Arles and day trips to Gordes and Rousillon, and many many glasses of wine!!! We hope to return again soon..

Superb Location

We rented the house for a special occasion with our family and were delighted with the choice. The location is superb out in the country but is still easy walking distance to town (more for adults tha n young kids according to my wife but I thought fine for all). We loved walking around the grounds (a very big garden), the large swimming pool (long enough do proper laps which was a bonus!) and how amazingly well equipped the house was (4 coffee machines including a nespresso). Outside dining areas worked well and we never actually dined inside. François was great. He helped us find a local taxi, a bike hire place in St Remy, and when we needed help (electric gate tripped in a major storm) he came within minutes to open the gate. We based our booking on previous reviews and I am delighted to say the house lived up to what we read.

Magnifique ! La piscine chauffée (et sa plage ! ) est très agréable, le gîte est propre, décoré avec grand soin et très bien situé dans la région. Emilie la propriétaire a été très disponible, chaleureuse et toujours de bons conseils. Nous avons passé un super séjour et recommandons vivement !!

Lovely stay!

The Maison des Pres is a lovely 'home away from home' situated a few hundred metres from the centre of the typical Provencal village of Caromb. The gardens are well tended and the pool is a special t reat as it is salt water. There is a new hot tub with a view towards Mont Ventoux. Caromb has all the essentials -butcher, bakers, newsagent (daily UK newspapers), post office, bank, deli, greengrocers, bars, restaurants, two supermarkets and a petrol station/car wash. There is a regular bus service to both Carpentras and Bedoin. Cycling is very popular locally with Mont Ventoux and Crillon-le-Brave nearby.

Five star house, five star location!

This was our fourth visit to Villa Lourmarin and our fifth to Lourmarin. We can't imagine a summer without our stay here - both house and village. The newly decorated and improved house is better than ever, set in a beautiful and so Provencal garden, and the pool is the best we have ever, ever found. The owner is unfailingly helpful and responsive, and intent on providing the best possible standard of accommodation and service for your stay. Lourmarin is a lovely village, unchanging but always interesting, and nicely located for trips to nearby towns and villages, and further afield too

The house and surroundings are just beautiful and we had a wonderful time there.

Great family holiday

We rented this house because it was perfect for a family get-together from Australia, New Zealand and London. We were six adults (three couples) and two children (including a toddler) . There is a great arrangement of rooms and bathrooms. The decor is sophisticated. The beds are large (not like the usual smaller French beds). There was a cot for the youngest grandchild. The dishwasher, washing machine and dryer were heavily used. The house is well-equipped. We cooked every night - mostly on the Weber BBQ. The pool was absolutely essential in the heat, as was the cool shady garden in the late afternoon sun. The house is in the village, not far from the medieval wall and the Porte. It was therefore a great pleasure to be able to walk to a choice of boulangeries, patissiers, markets and a small U super (supermarket). There was also a tabac and wine bar within 300 metres and a choice of more than ten restaurants. We recommend La Dame L'Oie and La Margelle. If you are up for a walk of 1.5 km, try Auberge de la Camarette in the vineyard of the same name. A short drive of 30 minutes will get you to the village of Chateauneuf du Pape and the restaurant Le Verger des Papes - great view but food is better at Auberge. We also recommend visiting the L'Abbaye de Senanque, and Fontaine de Vaucluse. There are picturesque towns such as Gordes nearby. We recommend a train to Avignon and a hire car, although you will find it hard to leave Pernes-les-Fontaines. Simon the owner is most accommodating and helpful. He is also an interior designer, hence the well-appointed and beautifully decorated house.

Lovely House in Great Area

A beautiful house with some fantastic touches; so lovely arriving to fresh cut flowers and a fully stocked fruit basket - Simon takes real pride in providing his guests with a luxurious stay and that's what we had. It was also a great house to have kids in, with the provision of not only a cot and a high chair, but even a buggy - so useful for helping to cut down on the packing. The house is really well served by the surrounding village, with lots of bakeries, restaurants, shops and amenities - you don't have to travel far to find what you need, everything is walkable and there are some great markets. All in all a lovely holiday with fantastic weather throughout.

C'est une très belle maison provençal décorée avec goût. Sa piscine chauffée et son jacuzzi sont largement suffisamment pour passer de belles vacances en toute saison.

Faultless!

We stayed in the Villa last May, 2017 for almost three weeks and had a wonderful time. We were with family and friends. The villa is in a wonderful location and we did many day trips. We walked every day along the vineyards and poppy fields. The markets were wonderful and we had many delicious home cooked meals at the villa. There were nine of us and there was so much room and such nice furnishings! In fact we enjoyed it so much we are going back again in 2018 with more friends and family members!!

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine dans cette maison avec nos 3 enfants, la maison est spacieuse et agréable, grand jardin, superbe piscine (sécurisé) et le cœur du village avec marché et commerce est tout proche.

6 couples gathering at le Mas des Alpilles to celebrate 50 plus years of friendship and marriage. And now to celebrate the beauty of this wonderful property and the countryside of Provence. We have had a marvelous time, with catered dinners brought in by Annett and served by Francois. It nearly doesn't get any better than the past week. We are leaving refreshed and thankful for having such a joyful and pleasant experience - one which will live in our hearts forever
