In Beaucaire itself you can visit the town’s medieval castle, and the cave monastery, called the Abbey of Saint Roman. Within a short drive of your Beaucaire accommodation there are many other attractions to visit too – Avignon offers the famous Papal Palace (the Palace of the Popes), the Notre Dame des Doms Cathedral, and many beautiful churches, historical buildings and museums. Nimes is known for its Roman history. Here you can see the best preserved Roman amphitheatre in France and a Roman temple, along with other monuments and buildings from different periods in history. The other town within the Golden Triangle is Arles, where again an impressive Roman arena is the main attraction.
